Another fatal swimming incident at Clear Water Bay beach

This morning (9/10) around 7:25 am, the police received a report that a man was floating about 100 metres offshore from Clear Water Bay First Beach, Sai Kung. He was suspected of drowning. The 66-year-old man was later rescued by bystanders, but was unconscious.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and tried to resuscitate him before sending him to Tseung Kwan O Hospital, but he unfortunately he was pronounced dead.

Police recovered the victim’s personal belongings, and a female relative accompanied him to the hospital. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
