Worrying situation for Rumpy and Maggie

The British male owner of these two lovely dogs suddenly passed away by an unexpected heart attack …his funeral was 5 May, 2020.   The dogs need to be moved into foster or adoption home as soon as possible before the expiration of the home lease 3 July, 2020.

Rumpy is a boy nine years old, and Maggie is a girl also nine years old. They were much loved by their owner who had them since puppies. Rumpy and Maggie have not been happy since their owners parting.

Sai Kung Stray Friends is trying to find a new home for them so they can stay together.

An online appeal yesterday (22/5) generated an extraordinary amount of likes, comments and shares – in fact an astonishing 30,682 people were reached on social media, but not one offer has been received of a temporary or permanent home where they can go together.

As one of those helping told BUZZ “It’s tough re-homing adult dogs and its so sad just because of their still “young age” nine years.  Rumpy and Maggie are totally domesticated love cuddles, playing with their toys and not overly energetic. There has to be someone who can give them a new home”.
