Final government consultation on Hiram’s Highway Widening Stage 2 gazetted; local councillors to hold public consultation

The Government gazetted today (20/11) the proposed amendments to the dualling works of Hiram’s Highway from Marina Cove to Sai Kung Town to address the public views to the original scheme and to tie in with engineering considerations.

Details of the proposed amendments are set out in the Annex. A public consultation will be held at Sai Kung Town Hall on 28 November from 1:00 pm organised by local Sai Kung District Councillors Zoe Lueng, Stanley Ho and Debbie Chan.

BUZZ last reported on these proposals early this year. Some amendments have been made to that initial proposal.

A notice of objection should describe the objector’s interest and the manner in which he or she alleges that he or she will be affected by the proposed amendments. Objectors are requested to provide contact details to facilitate communication. A notice of objection should be delivered to the Secretary for Transport and Housing not later than 19 January 2021.
