BUZZ columnist Sadie Kaye’s ‘Shitstorm’ helps launch anthology at Hong Kong International Literary Festival

BUZZ columnist Sadie Kaye will read excerpts from her short story “Shitstorm”, from the Hong Kong Writers Circle’s 2021 anthology, ‘After The Storm’, at the launch event as part of the Hong Kong International Literary Festival at the Hong Kong Fringe on Friday 12 November. Tickets are free but you do have to book in advance.

After the Storm considers the aftermath of real or imagined storms. These works of fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction, whether set in Hong Kong or elsewhere, delve into the emotional, psychological, and personal aftermath of storms, natural and otherwise. Some of the storms are sudden and visceral; others take time to build; some are gentle and others violent; some happen in a teacup and others across the solar system, but all explore the same theme . The launch will feature readings by many of this year’s contributors, and the chance to ask them about their works.

The book will also be available to buy in paperback from Bookazine after the event.
