The current state of affairs at the new Nikolai Smirnov venture in Sai Kung
“Momentai will be back open in mid-late June (fingers crossed)” Co-owner Niko Smirnoff said. “The new location in Hoi Pong Street will keep the spirit of Momentai alive with fresh, locally brewed beer on the waterfront…but it will be a completely different place. Imagine a Tokyo beer bar (with a cassette tape library) was dropped into the Caribbean and that’s about what the new venue will be like.

It will be called Caribbean Taproom & Grille and will feature a full menu of authentic Caribbean cooking, fresh tropical juices, and colourful cocktails, I think we’ll make a splash back onto the scene just in time for summer.”
Niko said their new place is next to Camden Town on the same street as Ventuno. Swing by sometime in early June to check it out and sample a Caribbean cocktail.
