Van fire at Pak Sha Wan car park considered arson

Early this morning around 2:00 am a private 7-seater car parked in the Pak Sha Wan car park caught fire and was burnt out; passers-by reported the incident to emergency services. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found that the fire was violent and had spread to a van parked nearby.

Firefighters quickly put out the fire. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. After the fire investigation, it was found that there were combustion accelerant residues inside the vehicle.

The cause of the fire was rated suspicious and was handed over to the police for investigation.
