The old Casa in Hoi Pong Square
Our recent report on the current state of restaurant openings in Sai Kung by Trevor Bailey has generated some comments. We are pleased to update the previous story.
James Bradshaw
It seems that 2084, in the main square, is not dead, but it will soon be reincarnated. James Bradshaw returned from overseas and apparently convinced wife Naz to pull the plug on 2084 and revive it with a renewed version of their previous restaurant, Casa. The new store will be called Casa Tapas Bar. Naz told BUZZ it will serve vegan and non-vegan tapas “so special Sai Kung will not have seen the like before”.

The painters get to work on the old 2084
A worker was recently seen re-painting the frontage of ex-2084 in bland grey. This is James’ influence: he favours minimalist design as we have seen at his previous three Sai Kung restaurants. You can’t keep a good man down; James is a serial entrepreneur.
