Free rides on KMB route 96R on 3 October

Kowloon Bus (KMB) announced that citizens can take free and unlimited rides on designated bus routes for three consecutive Sundays. Free services include the 96R route between Sai Kung and Diamond Hill on 3 October. 

KMB announced a partnership with WeLab Bank to launch bus ride discounts, including three consecutive Sundays from 19 September when citizens can travel on designated bus routes for free. The routes in the scheme are:

19 September – Route 1A from Central to Star Ferry;

26 September – the cross-harbour Route 108 between Kowloon Bay and North Point; and

3 October – Route 96R between Sai Kung and Diamond Hill.

From now on to 31 December, passengers using WeLab Debit Card to pay bus fares on e-payment system-enabled KMB buses can enjoy HK$2off. WeLab Bank also launches an in-bus mobile game on 150 KMB buses. Passengers can earn an additional HK$2 rebate per ride upon completing the game, amounting to a $41 rebate per trip in total.

KMB has installed the e-payment system on more than 1,000 buses that run on 60 routes. It is expected that the entire bus fleet will be equipped with an e-payment system within this year, bring more new travelling experiences to passengers.

The offer will be provided in the form of a rebate. The monthly rebate cap is HK$120.
