A traffic accident occurred in Sai Kung last night (26/9) at about 10:30 pm, when a 64-year-old woman was reportedly hit by a car while crossing the road opposite Hop Yick Building (7Eleven) on Fuk Man Road.
She injured her hand and fell to the ground. The 37-year-old female driver of the car reported the incident to police. Paramedics arrived at the scene and sent the injured woman to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment. Police launched an investigation into the accident.
Online media show the injured woman lying in the road, and quote the car driver as saying that a middle-aged female pedestrian suddenly rushed on to the road. She lost her balance and fell, and she couldn’t stop in time and hit her.
