Staff restrooms at three garbage collection points in Sai Kung broken into and burgled

Three burglaries occurred this morning (3/1) at various garbage collection stations, including storage rooms and staff lounges, around Sai Kung.

One locations was the Tai Po Tsai Refuse Collection Point (I) on Clear Water Bay Road. When employees returned to the collection station at 8:00 am, they found that the lock in the rest room had been sawn open and there were traces of looting inside; the door padlock of the storage room next to it was also missing. It is understood that employee belongings were in both places, but there were no valuables. The damage needs to be further determined.

Muk Min Shan collection station was also burgled

The second garbage collection site was at Tai Wan, Tai Mong Tsai Road. At 8:16 am an employee reported the incident, saying that the lock in the employee lounge of the collection station was damaged; the damage has yet to be assessed.

Later, at 8:19 am, police also received a report that the door lock of the staff lounge of the Muk Min Shan garbage station was broken open and there were signs of looting. The damage has not yet been determined.
