Police set up roadblocks on Hiram’s Highway – intercept Lexus; seize cocaine

Early yesterday morning (30/6), around 1:00 am, East Kowloon Regional Emergency Unit set up a roadblock on Hiram’s Highway near the Giverny to crack down on traffic violations. and stopped a white Lexus car. A package of suspected cocaine was seized under the seat. The 28-year-old male driver involved passed a breathalyser test. He was arrested on the spot on suspicion of “possession of drugs”, and taken to the police station for further questioning. The drugs were estimated to have a market value of HK$800.
