We want to express our heartfelt thanks to every foster family who opened their homes and hearts to our shelter dogs during Typhoon Ragasa. Over the course of the storm, you welcomed 54 dogs into safe, loving environments—far more than we could have imagined. Your generosity truly overwhelmed us, in the best possible way.
We’re also grateful to everyone who visited our kennels, even though there were many foster volunteers who we couldn’t accommodate. Your willingness to help, your patience, and your compassion made a powerful difference for our dogs and our team.
As we prepare for the safe return of our dogs, and hope that a few foster journeys might become forever homes, we’re reminded of what’s possible when a community comes together. Thank you, sincerely, for showing that the power of love really does make miracle.

Its such a relief to update “at our shelter (so far) its all ok
Kennel Manager Kathy stayed in the shelter sleeping alongside her loved rescues on a foam mattress
Only a few roof panels blown off and some torn away green tarps but no inspection yet of outer enclosures. All shelter dogs were calm, comfortable and rested quietly. Dogs are now going out into centre courtyard for for quick pee breaks.
In all the past years I have never seen so many people walk down our shelter driveway. Absolutely unbelievable the support from dog loving people. It was a full on two days getting dogs in foster.
100s of whattsapps and messages, preparing cages for transporting in Gogovans. ensuring cages secure with ties, Air Tags, provisions of food and water bowls, bags Buddy Bites and frozen chicken and some were given brand new dog beds. People waited long hours and unfortunately many people left without a dog. So so disappointing for them. People came from many far away locations to offer help.
We ran out of cages, Air Tags and Rogz leashes. It took time putting dogs for their first time into cars, some resisting and reluctant. All in all, the effort was worth it …our dogs are safe. The lucky ones in homestay are really happy and settled in. Im sure they wont want return to shelter life after home comforts and spoils.
Thankyou everyone the kind Spirit of Hong Kong dog lovers.
