Halloween decorations in the gardens by Sai Kung’s largest banyan tree
For Halloween, “we will be fully decorated with lots of candy for the kids running around,” Rob Cooper, co-owner of the Enoteca Group, said. They have two restaurants in Sai Kung: The Picture House and The Conservatory. You can be sure they will have plenty of goodies to spoil your children.
Susannta Datta, owner of Big Fish, said the restaurant has no special plans for 31 October, but bookings are heavy and he’s expecting an enjoyable night of partying.
“Double double toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble.”
“Be afraid, be very afraid.”
“Witching you a scary Halloween.”

Halloween originated from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of summer and the beginning of winter when the veil between the living and the dead was thought to be thin. The name “Halloween” comes from the Catholic holiday of All Hallows’ Eve, the evening before All Saints’ Day.
Halloween is a time for kids. They can shriek till their lungs are bursting, go trick-or-treating, carve jack-o-lanterns, don costumes, chomp on treats and run amok. And Sai Kung has its very own Halloween Carnival……..

“There’s magic in the night, when the pumpkins glow by moonlight.”
