Yesterday morning (26/5) a seven-seat van parked in Clear Water Bay Second Beach, Sai Kung car park suddenly caught fire producing lots of smoke and then burst into flames.
The owner managed to escape and call the police. The fire was extinguished and the battery taken out and put into a bucket of water to cool down. The front part of the van was badly burned.
The cause of the fire is being investigated, although foul play has been ruled out at this stage.
